Carer & Family Education
Practical training and support for carers and families to build confidence and reduce carer fatigue.
Overview
Caring for someone with a disability or health condition is rewarding — but it can also be physically and emotionally demanding. Our occupational therapists provide practical education and training to help carers and families feel more confident, capable, and supported in their role.
We cover everything from safe manual handling and equipment use to understanding the condition, managing daily routines, and recognising when to ask for help. Education is tailored to your specific situation and the person you support.
Our goal is to empower carers with the knowledge and skills to provide great support while looking after their own wellbeing. We work alongside the participant's therapy to ensure everyone is aligned and working toward the same goals.
